Maybe the most famous designer in Thailand, Nagara Sambandaraksa is the Queen Sirikit’s official designer. He also works for the high society of Bangkok, his creation being seen as combining the West with the East and his favourite material is the silk.

If you need to introduce yourself in the world of the Thailand fashion, visit the malls that surround the shopping areas such as Siam Square and Sukhumvit Road, where you can find international and loco labels at prices that can vary from decent to huge.

But you can also find bargains at numerous shops from the Pratnum area or Platinum Fashion Mall. Here you can find bags, shoes, jewellery and belts. The second-hand and vintage clothing can be found at Chatuchak, where you can buy retro bags, suits, shoes or clothes looking like the ones from a granny’s closet. T-shirts, vintage jeans and camouflage street-clothes can be found here, too.

Of course, here are enough fakes or stuff with questionable authenticity and origins. Bangkok is the place where you can find anything about fashion, from comfortable shirts to must-have stuff that will transform you in a fashionable person.

Are you looking for handbags and shoes? Then take a trip to local markets like Major Ratchoyothin, Khlong San or Chatuchak Weekend Market, the stores around Pratunam such as Indra Mall, Baiyoke Mall or the malls with nice prices like Platinum Fashion Mall and MBK Centre.

The ones looking for imported and fine crafted brands have to visit the luxury malls Gaysorn, The Emporium and Siam Paragon.

The majority of the local designers prefer to open shops around the Siam Square. In shopping malls like Siam Centre, Central World, Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, Gayson Plaza and The Emporium you can find top end international and Thai brands.

For exclusively Bangkok labels you have to go to the small stores that can be found around the Siam Square. Domon and Jaspal are exclusively Thai labels, of high quality and at fine prices. Being national brands you can find them in the most of the malls.
